Vessel Table
The Vessel Table is an exciting new design project by Amy Jameson, a second year FDA Furniture Design student at The Cass. Inspired by anatomical slides of blood & tissue, the Vessel Table mimics the naturally occurring internal structure of the living body. The Vessel table contains 26 CNC–cut plywood layers, each one with a unique internal shape. The Vessel table can be made to order, and is available for retail or wholesale purchases. For prices please contact: kimuchie(at)gmail(dot)com

side chair
Inspired by a Louis 16th side chair but with a cleaver twist. Instead of upholstery being soft, here it is hard and made from wood, but still with the aesthetical detailing of fabric. Also it is not made by traditional methods alone. The chair components are cut by CNC, assembled and finished by hand. This piece is a combination of technology and craftsmanship.Made from Maple and Walnut.

me me me
me me me stems from a studio argument concerning the virtues of collective ownership, and although the debate was serious, the outcome is slightly ridiculous; an intentionally dysfunctional storage unit. More propaganda than design solution, me me me stands against the triumph of individualism by posing a simple question; at what point does the cost of individual ownership outweigh the benefits?

Pidge
The idea of feet as a form of scaffolding battled with my continuous inspiration from nature, to produce Pidge, a sculptural two-legged table that incorporates both sharp angles alongside sumptuous curves. The high grained walnut finish was chosen to accentuate the piece’s natural curves flowing from its otherwise boxy structure.

Akati akyiiya (Desk chair)
'akati akayiiya' is luganda dialect for the baganda tribe in uganda, it simply means 'seat of creative inspiration'. how i came up with the title of the chair is very much connected to the inspiration of its design. i was in an environment of sinuous like objects, when i came up with the concept, then the designs.

aino
Aino seat, was inspired by a mini side sofa made in the Adam period, this piece creates upholstery from wood, keeping the same softness and tactile nature of fabric but replicated in a highly innovative way of combining new technologies and material experimentation. The look of a solid wooden seat, with the clever detailing of traditional upholstery and a slight comfortable softness when sitting on it.
