Indian premier League, incepted late 2007, first edition 2008 and now we’re into the build-up of the third one! The league actually, factually and by all other prospects changed the face of cricket. A game that had no million-billion dollars involved now has players being bought in millions! IPL, this time round certainly will be fan-centered. YouTube will be the online broadcaster of the IPL!!! The matches will be telecasted on Google’s YouTube Live, especially for the UK residents, as UK was devoid of a permanent IPL telecast, and also Modi once tweeted that “UK residents keep asking me about the telecast of IPL in UK”. Live broadcast won’t be the only feature of IPL, but YouTube watchers will be able to watch the proceedings through any camera angle and customize the whole watching experience as according to themselves and that too in High Definition (HD).

Though the Indian fans will have the broadcast on YouTube a couple of minutes later, the surprise for Indian fans came up to be the broadcast of matches in cinema-halls. The games would be broadcasted in cinema-halls in association of the distribution company, UFO Moviez, which in turn has stuck strategic alliances with many multiplex operators. The icing on the cake, though, is the 3D broadcast in select cinemas – making IPL the first sporting body in the world to do so. Not only this, the fans would be able to catch the award ceremonies and other parties organized by the IPL on Colors.

Forget the broadcast prospects, the IPL 3.0 can be your last season when you will be seeing your favorite playing for favorite team. Or, it can be the last season for you to wait for your favorite player to play for your favorite team!! CONFUSED?? Yes, after IPL 3, two new teams will be introduced – whose auction will be in place by the next 15 days, and hence all players will be auctioned right from the scratch! This doesn’t means that Mumbai Indians wouldn’t be playing with Tendulkar or Chennai Super Kings with Dhoni as the IPL governing council will allow the franchises to retain a certain number of players. This would also mean that this will be the last time we will be entertained only of 50 odd days!!!

Henceforth, the IPL 3.0 has opened new horizons and will be certainly an end to a 3-year long era! It will mark the revolutionary change in television broadcast of a sport and cease the original IPL tradition – that just had 8 teams!!!
