As the world grows more conscious about their privacy and wants to carefully weed out who has access to their data on Facebook or other sites, a little experiment by blockzuck.com shows that you cannot block Mark Zuckerberg on your account on the site. Facebook offers several ways to block people, invites from certain people or applications, which was a relief to many when apps such as Farmville began appearing like weeds on the site. When you 'block' a person, "the person can no longer be your friend on Facebook or interact with you except within games and applications you both use" according the site's information.
However, when you try to block Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, you get a "Block Failed" message, as reported by TechCrunch. "This kind of thing is funny, and adds a little personality to the site. But Facebook is getting way too big and culturally important for things like this to continue," TechCrunch said. While may not be a serious issue, it might make users a little wary given the issues regarding privacy that have been surrounding Facebook for the past few months.
Many users might not have even thought blocking Zuckerberg. But the lack of choice of being able to do it might unsettle some users.
